Ally is not in the financial place to reject the offer, but she does consider it when she is assigned to be Dominic's assistant. They both have trauma and secrets that start to unfold as they learn more about each other.
By a Thread is the epitome of slow burn. It takes a couple hundred pages for the characters to show any physical interaction, but that makes the tension so good. The ending of this book was very eventful and entertaining. This book is perfect for someone who likes a slow burn. Although, if you can’t stand slow burns, I would warn you to steer clear of this one. I personally really enjoyed this book. Rating: 4
