Coco is an amazing movie packed with emotion and depth. The movie begins with how Miguel dreams of becoming a musician, but their family is against it because of their history with music. On Día de los Muertos, Miguel accidentally ends up in the world of the dead and begins the journey to finding out about his family history.
The story is simple yet beautifully done. It has a lot of twists and turns that contribute more to its appeal. The unique art style and animations are colorful and fun to watch. The inclusion of Mexican cultural elements into the movie gives it more character, and the viewers can tell that a lot of research had been done. Themes of death and forgiveness are explored with a lot of depth and emotion. The whole movie was organic and very life-like.. Overall, it is obvious that there was intention with every detail of this film. The world of Coco was amazing and had a lot of charm. I give this movie a 4.3 out of 5 and recommend it to be watched by anyone who has not watched it yet.
