Dating in Dragons follows the shy new girl Quinn Norton as she starts at her new High School. Quinn is nervous about making new friends because her past friends weren’t kind to her, but she stumbles upon a group of kids on her first day and they happen to share a love of Dungeons and Dragons. However, Quinn soon finds out this friend group is also a very well-known group of D&D streamers, and they have strict rules for joining their campaign. One of the rules is “No dating within the group,” which is kind of awkward when she starts crushing on Logan, a charming boy who is a core member of the friend group.
I thought this book was very charming! It felt like a warm hug, and I enjoyed that the book really focused on the friendships and the found family aspects of the book. Quinn was lovable and you could feel all her feelings with her. I found that I really cared for not only the main couple but all the side characters like Kashvi who is Quinn's new friend at school. I also loved the description of all the outfits. All the characters had their own unique sense of style that helped differentiate their vibes and personalities. The romance was also absolutely adorable. You just fall in love with Logan and their chemistry is off the charts. I am giggling and kicking my feet at some of the things he would say to Quinn and how their relationship developed throughout the book. I really enjoyed that he respects her boundaries, and I think he is a great example of what a boyfriend should be. I would recommend this to all the nerdy girls who love roleplaying and romance!
