Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is an action-packed movie, but its weak storyline held it back. The movie takes place after the events of Jurassic World, where the park is abandoned, leaving dinosaurs to roam free and live naturally. Unfortunately, a volcanic eruption on Isla Nublar threatens the lives of the dinosaurs, forcing our protagonists to save the dinosaurs and uncover a sinister operation.
While the story was simple, there were many inconsistencies that weakened the plot, making the film mediocre at best. The story also felt unoriginal and lacked unique and interesting characters with depth. Usually movies that serve as a sequel help move the story of the world forward, but in this case the movie was more of a standalone and nothing substantial happens that cannot be summarized in a sentence or two. It had a decent pacing with some boring moments, but the overall horror aesthetic and graphics were good. The movie had nothing special, which made it a forgettable movie. For an action packed experience or for something to pass time, it's worth watching, but don’t expect it to leave an impact. I give this movie a 3.6 out of 5.
