Fantastic Mr. Fox is a cozy, adventure movie full of laughter, stress and love. Mr. Fox is bored with his plain old family life much to the dismay of his wife. He’s an animal and animals need to be wild! So, he hatches a plan to steal from three of the scariest farmers in the town, Boggis, Bunce and Bean, notorious for their violent ways. He only planned to do one heist to feed his family and get that itch out of the way, but once he pulled off the perfect heist he couldn’t get enough. Mr. Fox puts his family and his friends in danger as he continues to steal from the farmers. You watch Mr. Fox having to figure out how to keep his family safe, deal with his need to be wild and problem solve every stressful situation they’re put in.

Fantastic Mr. Fox is an amazing movie that is incredibly visually appealing. It’s filmed in the classic Wes Anderson style with awkward, but witty dialogue and stunning and stylized visuals. The movie feels cozy and warm; perfect for the fall season or whenever you're missing that autumn atmosphere. I loved the twist and turns of the movie and the running bits throughout. There are several running jokes, especially for curse words that made me laugh out loud while watching. It’s also fun to listen to because a lot of the sound effects and voice acting was done while actively moving so it feels very immersive. One thing I absolutely adore is how they portray relationships in the movie, both familial and romantic. Mr. Fox and his wife are so complicated and they so easily portray how it is vital that both people grow in a relationship because if someone is stuck in the past it can tear the relationship apart. It also displays familial love in a very realistic way. I myself have gotten compared to cousins and my siblings in the past, so I related heavily to Ash’s relationship with Kristofferson. All in all I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves witty humor and heartwarming stop motion animated movies, or really anyone at all! This movie is a five out of five for me.
