This book tells the story of Maurice Sendak, the famous writer and artist who made Where the Wild Things Are. It starts with his childhood in Brooklyn, New York, where he liked to draw and make up stories. The book shows how he grew up to become an artist, worked on books and cartoons and made some of the most loved kids' stories. It also talks about some of the hard times he had, like being sick and feeling different from others. Even with those problems, Maurice followed his dreams and became one of the most creative and well-known people in children’s books.

This is a great book for kids who enjoy stories and drawing. The writing is easy to read and fun to follow. It shows how Maurice used his big imagination and worked hard to become a famous author. The book mostly talks about his job, not much about his personal life, but it’s still a fun and inspiring read. It teaches kids to be creative, be themselves and never give up even when things are tough.
