Ice Age is a decent movie with good characters. The movie starts off, introducing us to a group of animals including Manny, Sid and Diego who encounter a human baby and go on a journey to return the baby to its family, but Diego has a secret mission to return the baby to his leader for revenge. The overall plot and story are decent, but there is nothing much special about it. The area where the movie shines the best is the characters. They all have distinct personalities, and their interactions is what makes the movie fun to watch. The addition of the side storyline of the squirrel contributed to the movie’s uniqueness and added humor. The dangers and the situations the protagonists are put in don’t have that much tension and felt more like a hurdle in the journey. Nothing unexpected happens. The movie was a fun and light movie to watch. I would recommend it to be watch if you like animated movies and have the time to watch a relatively short film. I give it a 3.5 out of 5.
