1989 (Taylor’s Version) is a re-recording of Taylor Swift’s 2014 pop album 1989. Taylor released a re-recording of the original due to licensing rights. At the time of the original release 10 years ago, the original 1989 album was a smash hit, with multiple platinum records. On the rerecording, she creates new interpretations of all the tracks, with added beats and lyrics. There are also 5 new “vault tracks” that were originally unreleased.

5/5! Everything about 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is an absolute bop. Every song, every beat, and every lyric all tie in together to create one amazing story. The album has a very ‘city life’ feel to it, and it encompasses many different feelings all in one amazing record. Some songs do sound a little AI rather than the original album, but I still love it, nonetheless. Love, heartbreak, new life changes, this album has it all. The 5 added vault songs are all perfect as well. They all have amazing lyricism and rhythm, and it really ties into the album perfectly. I can’t even pick a favorite song off of this album, I love it too much. If you haven’t given it a listen before, go do it!
