(500) Days of Summer has to be one of my favorite movies to exist. The movie starts off by showing the viewers the main character, Tom. Tom is looking for love, but he hasn’t had much luck. He meets one of his co-workers, Summer, and immediately falls in love. Summer is very independent and does not believe in love. The movie shows us the 500 days that they were together, and their weird relationship. Although Tom and Summer have their differences in what they want their relationship to be, Tom goes along with Summers' rules because he is so in love. This movie really shows both points of view, from Summer and Tom. In this movie, we are able to mainly grow with Tom, as he tries to get over Summer.
I really loved this movie because of how real and raw it was. It showed everything love should be, and what love can also be sometimes. The only issue I had with this movie was the way some of the characters made me feel. I feel like the way the characters were portrayed was never consistent. Other than that, I really recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a funny, but bittersweet ending. This movie is always one of my favorites, and I can’t wait to watch it again!
