I know that you are supposed to start your road trip at the beginning of summer, but sometimes things don't always work out according to plans. As I get ready for my road trip I thought I would share some of my favorite road trip books with you!

John Green is the king of road trip books. An Abundance of Katherines was one of my favorite road trip books. After Colin is dumped by his 19th girlfriend named Katherine (not a bad name to be obsessed with, but Kate is better), he sets out with his best friend Hassan in an attempt to create a mathematical formula that will predict his future relationships.

Paper Towns is another great John Green novel about a quiet and geeky guy named Q who has always been infatuated with this eccentric and beautiful neighbor Margot. One night Margot kidnaps Q to take him on the adventure of a lifetime and then mysteriously disappears. Q is convinced that she has left him clues to find her and he sets out on an epic roadtrip to solve the mystery and find the girl of his dreams.

My favorite road trip book, is not strictly limited to roads (sorry, I cheat). In 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson, Ginny receives a mysterious package from her recently deceased aunt with 13 envelopes inside, each marked with a number. The first envelope contains $1000 in cash and directions to pack a bag, go to the airport and catch the next flight to London. Once there, the letter instructs, Ginny may open envelope number two. Ginny, who has never done anything impulsive in her life, take a leap of faith and starts the adventure of a life time! And now you can learn how the story ends in The Last Little Blue Envelope!
