“Heroes are just villains with worse survival instincts and moral superiority complexes.”
In the sequel to All of Us Villains, the protagonists must navigate a completely new tournament. The rules have been ripped away, and now the outside is part of the arena, including all the civilians within it. Some of the Slaughter Seven believe that they can break the curse once and all and save their life and those of their friends at the same time. But not everyone wants to change the way things are. When some of the kids are frantically trying to break down the curse, while others are out on the hunt, what will be the fate of not only the seven, but all the people affected by their decisions?
I enjoyed this book, but not as much as the first one. It followed the same kind of plot as the first, but with less interesting turns (as all the good ones had already been revealed in the original book). Still, not a bad read, even if it isn’t really as good as the first. I did enjoy watching the character arcs of several characters, and I think that was what really made the book for me. Oh, how I love watching the high and mighty fall from their pedestals while the “villains” of the story rise above. A slightly less interesting version of the first book.
