Anthem is an intriguing story that supports the idea of individualism. This story takes you through the life of a rebellious character living in a dystopian future society. This society is restricted and limited to an uncountable list of laws and regulations. Upon seeing how free they could truly be and what the world was actually like, the character felt a sense of happiness and joy, but also betrayal as they had been lied to. An outcast at heart, they had the mind of no other and thought of ideas and inventions that could change the world. But sadly was rejected and made fun of for such ideas.
I caught myself reading for hours, finishing this short book in a couple days. I was curious to see what would happen next and how different our world could be. It helped me see just how free the community we live in today is, but also shows how much our world could change
