The Princeton Review AP Biology Prep book is an amazing resource to prepare for the AP exam. I used this prep book to get an A in the class and prepare for my exam. This prep book offers a comprehensive review of key concepts, test-taking strategies and practice questions, and thorough explanations of everything.
One of my favorite things about this book is that the book effectively summarizes key biological concepts, making it easy to review high-yield topics without unnecessary complexity. The book follows the AP Biology course outline, covering topics like genetics, ecology, evolution and cellular processes in a logical order.
I would rate this book a four out of five because while the book covers major topics well, some sections such as biochemistry and molecular biology could use more in-depth explanations. More specifically, some diagrams are overly simplified and may not fully illustrate complex biological processes.
