It details the life of a family - both biological and not. It details the connection apparent between the present and the past. It details the heart-wrenching decisions one must make in dire situations. Although Beloved is a difficult read, that is what makes it compelling. The novel forces the reader to confront beliefs and morals and what is considered right versus wrong. I recommend this books for those who are looking for an elevated book to read that will certainly have a profound effect on the readers mindset after completion.
