Summary: Big Game by Stuart Gibbs follows the adventures of Teddy Fitzroy, a middle schooler with a knack for solving mysteries, as he visits a floating zoo called FunJungle. When a rare Siberian tiger cub goes missing, Teddy finds himself embroiled in a dangerous investigation. With the help of his friend Summer, daughter of the zoo's owner, Teddy navigates through a web of lies, deceit, and danger to uncover the truth behind the disappearance. Along the way, they encounter suspicious characters, uncover shocking secrets about the zoo, and ultimately race against time to save both the tiger cub and themselves. Gibbs combines suspense, humor, and environmental themes to create a thrilling and entertaining book.

Opinion: The most compelling aspect of the book was the intricate web of clues and red herrings that kept me guessing until the very end. He crafted a plot full of twists and turns, making it impossible to put the book down. Additionally, the characters, particularly Teddy and Summer, were well-developed and relatable, adding depth to the story. However, there were moments where I found some of the plot developments a bit predictable, which slightly lowered the overall excitement. The book still inspired a sense of curiosity and adventure, reminding me of the thrill of solving a mystery. I would recommend Big Game to anyone who enjoys fast-paced mysteries with engaging characters, especially young readers who are looking for an exciting adventure to dive into. I give this book a four out of five.
