Nate Wright, an 11-year-old sixth grader at P.S. 38, knows he's destined for greatness. He even has a list of things he could be great at. When he opens a fortune cookie that says he'll achieve greatness today, his ambitions hit an all-time high. Nate is sure it's his time to shine, but the big question is: what will he be great at? As the day goes on, things keep going wrong, and he makes one teacher after another furious at him. Will he actually achieve greatness like the fortune says, or will this day just end up on Nate's "Worst Days Ever" list?
This book is written in a really witty way, packed with jokes that keep readers of all ages entertained. Nate's unique way of expressing himself through drawings adds a fun twist, and the story itself is hilarious while still having a solid plot. However, the book does get a bit predictable as it goes on. Every period, Nate gets into big trouble with a teacher, which starts to feel repetitive towards the end.
