Captain Underpants and the Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants is the fourth installment in Dav Pilkey’s wildly popular series. This time, George and Harold face off against a brilliant but disgruntled scientist, Professor Poopypants, who is tired of being laughed at because of his silly name. Determined to take revenge on anyone who mocks him, Professor Poopypants devises a plot to shrink the world and make everyone pay for their laughter. Once again, Captain Underpants must save the day in his usual absurd and heroic way.
I’d give this book a five out of five because it perfectly balances humor and action, while also delivering a creative and engaging plot. Professor Poopypants is a hilarious and memorable villain, and his ridiculous schemes make for some of the funniest moments in the series. The humor, while silly, is clever and perfectly suited for young readers.
What I love most about Captain Underpants and the Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants is how it continues to push the boundaries of imagination while staying true to the series’ fun, lighthearted tone. The book is filled with Pilkey’s signature illustrations, flip-o-rama scenes, and laugh-out-loud jokes, making it an entertaining and fast-paced read. It’s a fantastic addition to the Captain Underpants saga that will leave readers eager for the next adventure!
