Lightning Mcqueen is invited to compete in the world grand prix. However, Mater finds himself involved in a spy operation involving criminal lemon cars.
Cars 2 was a decent movie with good animations and amazing artwork and visuals. However, the plot for this film was not as strong as the previous movie. The “spy plot line” takes up the spotlight for most of the movie and makes Mater the main character of the film which I do not mind as it was a nice way to change things up, but the story was not good enough to make it a good change. I was disappointed by how the racing in this movie was constantly removed out of focus to follow the spy plot line which was generic at best. If a good balance was found between the racing and the spy plotline or the spy plotline was just removed, it could have been a better film. I recommend this movie if you really love the world of Cars. The visuals are still good and the story is decent, So I give it a 4 out 5.
