Catching Fire is the second book of The Hunger Games Series. The Capital is mad at Katniss for what she pulled off in the 74th game. Gale and Peeta are keeping their distance from her. Not only this but there are rumors of a rebellion, that Katniss and Peeta have helped accidentally create. Now she has to worry about the Quelle, a game only held every 25 years, but this time the rules have changed. “Sparks are igniting, flames are spreading, and The Capital still wants revenge”.
If you thought The Hunger Games was amazing, wait until you read this book. New characters, plot twists, and a big cliffhanger. I will say this book has a somewhat similar plot to the first one, so if you weren't a fan of that then I wouldn't recommend it. However, if you just didn't like The Hunger Games because it was more information than action then I think you should try this book. I could barely put Catching Fire down, it was fun, sad, adventurous, and just a great dystopian novel in general. As someone who hates the dystopian genre, this book changed my mind completely. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to start reading more and is a fan of the movie franchise!
