Crown of Horns is a graphic novel, the ninth and final book of a 9-book series called Bone. At the end of the last book, Thorn gets arrested by the group of the Disciples of Venu who are loyal to the tyrant Tarsil. Right after, the Pawans and rat creatures’ approach Atheia in very large numbers to start battle. Now in this book, they start attacking the city while the Hooded One summons the Lord of the Locusts who has finally escaped, and in addition she starts planting more Ghost Circles to trap the city and create more fear. Thorn and Fone Bone escape their prison and rush to find the Crown of Horns which is supposed to defeat the Lord of the Locusts. However, the Hooded One has set many barriers for them. Will Thorn touch the Crown of Horns, or will evil permanently seize Atheia and the rest of the valley forever?
I loved this book, and it was a great finale! We finally learn the rest about the past in this book, which helps guide Thorn to the grounds. We find that some previously unimportant characters had some use, and old foes finally meet. There is plenty of drama and suspense which kept me hooked to the book throughout the story. Because of all this, I give this book a five out of five.
