The Cruel Prince is a mysterious tale, overflowing with darkness and ambiguity. Jude Duarte, a human girl raised as a child of Faerie, has one goal. Serve as a knight under the king’s rule. However, the road that leads to loyalty to the king involves more obstacles than Jude bargained for. Although I had a hard time relating to Jude, she was very exciting to read about. This book genuinely made my jaw drop. Every plot twist led to a final chapter with such an unexpected ending. The world of Faerie seemed melancholy but irresistible. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a world to get lost in that leaves them a little dizzy.
