Kazi, a former thief, is sent on a mission by the queen to locate a dangerous criminal in the threatening land of the Ballengers. A series of sudden events bring Kazi and Jase Ballenger closer together, revealing that there is more to each other than they thought. In this thrilling adventure, they must work to succeed in their tasks, even as they are drawn closer to each other.

This book was such an adventure, and a riveting one at that. Each character was very well developed and felt exciting to get to know. Captivating me from the start, this book left me wanting more. The romance was enchanting, the plot was captivating and the book was a perfect length. While it may have been slow to start, the other three quarters of the book was completely worth it. This book had plenty of action, romance and included great banter. To any fantasy-romance lover, I highly recommend this book!
