Daughter of the Deep is a wonderful story that pays homage to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I did not read 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea but I know I love the Daughter of the Deep. This story dives into action almost immediately with just the perfect shock. Like falling into water while dipping your toe in. Daughter of the Deep is a wonderful story about a girl thrust into a role after her world falls apart. After Ana's boarding school explodes right before final exams Ana is thrown into a world she never knew about. Ana is fun and handles everything surprisingly well with everything that just happened, the plot and the emotions are great and there is even an autistic character. I didn’t relate to her too much, but I did like her and I'm guessing she was more accurate to my behavior than she looks. I’d recommend this book.
