Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank is a diary about a girl, and is also a journal. She is a Jewish teenager who she and her family hid during the German occupation of the Netherland in WWII. She wrote her experiences for the world to see how her and those around her lives were impacted.
I would rate this journal as a 4 out of 5, as it was fascinating to see her reflect on her experiences and situation, as well as learn history through her diary. I loved the book and how it explained her and her family's conditions. I love the transition it takes from a normal childhood to an eventful and life-changing story
