Dogman: Fetch-22 is a graphic novel, the eighth book of the Dogman book series. At the end of the last book, Petey and his robotic moth defeat Dr. Scum. Big Jim (calling himself “Commander Cupcake”) luckily caught Dr. Scum and the Fleas. It turned out that Grampa was pretty mean, and we went to jail for stealing Petey’s belongings. Petey and Li’l Petey visit Grampa in jail, who disguises himself and walks out of jail with the kitten. Now, there is a new villain, the Fair Fairy, who got fired from her job for being very unkind, making her desire revenge. Many Supa Brain Dots land in a pond that the Fairy was right next to, where 22 tadpoles become really smart and gain many powers, including telekinesis. They see the Fair Fairy, thinking she’s their mom, and she orders them to use their powers to destroy the whole city. As they do so, Dogman and his friends try to fight, but they get caught. Li’l Petey then tries to melt the heart of the tadpoles to make them kind, and recruits Flippy the Fish (who Li’l Petey did the same thing to in an earlier book) to help. However, Grandpa appears and tries to help the Fair Fairy, and betrays Li’l Petey once again. Will Grampa and the Fair Fairy win, or will Li’l Petey change some hearts?

I found the Fair Fairy to be one of the most amusing characters in the Dogman series, especially in a scene with her boss at one point. This book brings back Flippy, who I was waiting for to come back after he became good. In addition, there was an interesting plot twist near the end with Li’l Petey tricking Grampa. Finally, there were some quotes in the book inspired by a poem that I found really moving. It is clear the Dogman books actually have some nice morals in them. Because of all this, I give this book a five out of five.
