Georgia Ford, a real estate lawyer in San Francisco, discovers a secret that her fiancé kept and goes to her family home in Sonoma a week before her wedding. She expects comfort from her family in her hometown, but when she learns that they are selling the Sonoma vineyard that she grew up on, she wants nothing but to save it and her family. However, she meets Jacob, the soon-to-be owner, and learns more family secrets that could threaten to break the family apart. So, Georgia handles the problems, overcomes the obstacles, and decides on a new path for her life that she didn’t expect. In the end, she does not get the life she expected when she first came to the vineyard and creates a new life for herself.
I loved this book and the very mature topics that it tackles. There are new secrets that she discovers, and seeing Georgia grow as a person and handle these obstacles captured my attention. The book was very well-written, and I could not put it down. This is a great book for those who like realistic fiction and are mature readers. Overall, I liked this book very much and would reread it many times for sure. I rate this a 5 out of 5.
