Esperanza Rising is a historical fiction book written by Pam Munoz Ryan.
This novel is Esperanza, the only daughter of a rich Mexican family. This book
shows the events that happened after her father's murder. Esperanza, her mother,
and their former household servants flee with many issues. The main characters
are Esperanza, her mother, and their servants. Esperanza wants to find a way to
rise above her circumstances, since her mom's life and her own depend on it.
However, it is hard since they have lost almost everything. However, she's not ready
for the labor she has to work hard, even though this is difficult. Her mother and
her servants helped her a lot along the way.
Esperanza clears some of her doubts and tries to lead a less problematic
life. They wish to continue living in this new mindset that hopefully they can adapt
to. The most compelling aspect is when they lose everything and I'm treated
unfairly. The most disappointing part of this book is how Esperanza won't accept
her situation. This is because it is important to support her own mother and her
family. The thoughts or feelings that this book inspired is adaptation to
situations, and perseverance. I recommend this book to those who wish to know
the true meaning of perseverance.
