The main character in the book's name is Hazel and she gets diagnosed with cancer. While being a cancer patient she meets and falls in love with a boy named Augustus Waters, who she meets from her cancer support group. Throughout the story a relationship between Hazel and Augustus develops. Augustus then finds a way to make her dying wish to come true. He takes her to see her favorite author, who wrote the book An Imperial Affliction which she is obsessed with.

I think this was a really sweet romance book. I was a little disappointed with the sad ending, but the book made me think more about life and death and the way I’m spending my life. It really got me thinking in a deeper way towards cancer patients and people with terminal illnesses, and what it would be like to love someone who is sick. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance books and can take a sad ending. Personally, I would recommend this book and I believe it is better than most books I have read in the past.
