This story is the last of the Caraval trilogy, this time, following both sisters rather than just one. The Dragna sisters continue to struggle to find their true love amidst the main conflict of the book: the fates had escaped (from the last book, Legendary) and wanted each of the sisters - and their loved ones - dead. While some wanted to assist them in killing the fates’ creator, ultimately none can be trusted.
This book definitely contained the most romance out of the three, which honestly brought my rating down a little due to personal preferences. However, with a lot of the story-building occurring in the first two books, Stephanie Garber was able to pack a ton of action and plot, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I’d recommend this read to those who enjoy an action-packed fantasy romance story and obviously those who’ve read the other books in this series. I look forward to reading Garber’s other series!
