“How all women must mourn the loss of those little girls, relegated to shadow as they grow.”

The curse has been lifted and the rebellion is over, but the sisters won’t give up on one another so easily. As they struggle to find each other and reconnect, can it change everything that has happened to them in the past? The fourth and final book in the Three Dark Crowns series, Five Dark Fates brings the entire story to a close. I will say I felt something closing the book after finishing it, saying goodbye to these characters I had come to love, and that’s how I know it was a good series. Blake managed to take some of the best pieces of YA dark fantasy without making it overbearing or cringy. I also adored how all the books had such a clear theme regarding the name and cover, maybe a bizarre thing to appreciate, but it makes the whole series look so nice and cohesive sitting on my bookshelf. And Blake really did manage to tie everything up, from all the loose storylines, and the unfinished romances, to the gut-wrenching final scenes. I enjoyed this series and will remember it fondly, and I would recommend it to all lovers of dark fantasy! 5 out of 5 stars.
