Spoiler Alert! Read the book Illuminae prior to reading the review.
Gemina, the sequel to Illuminae, tells the story of Nick and Hanna, two residents of the Heimdall jump station. Nick is part of a criminal gang, while Hanna is the commander’s daughter. After the BeiTech invasion of the planet Kerenza, the company’s next mission is to destroy the jump station before the ship of refugees from the planet reaches. A team of BeiTech assault soldiers is inadvertently let in by Nick's gang, and they quickly take control of the station. Nick and Hanna have to fight for their lives and retake control of the station before the Hypatia, the ship of refugees coming from Kerenza, arrives. They have to fight an alien plague and an enemy from within in order to retake control of the station, with many twists in between.
This book is very interesting because it has various plot twists and the narrative style as a series of documents made the book very interesting. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspenseful and thrilling novels. I did not have any problems with the book and it made me want to read the next book in the series. It is definitely a must-read book after the first book of the series
I thought the cover was very cool and it looked like a cover of documents, like how the book was formatted. I rate this book 5/5.
