Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard is the second book in the Red Queen series. Only people with
silver blood, the royals, hold powers. Mare, red-blooded, finds out she holds a deadly power of
her own, which can match any silver. She finds out more people are out there like her, and sets
out on a quest to find people to rebel against a friend who has betrayed her. What she didn’t
know was that many lives would be lost. Will she accomplish her goal, or will she give up after
the betrayal and blood-shed she experienced?
I enjoyed reading this book very much. I was not disappointed in any part of it, and enjoyed the
flow it went in. I read the first book in the series, and since it ended in a cliffhanger, I couldn’t
just stop at that book. I would recommend this book to teens who like reading dystopian fiction
with plot twists you never saw coming. I would rate this book a 5/5.
