The first season to start the TV show introducing Batman’s home, Gotham, is outstanding. I like that the first season introduces every character that would aspire to be the next major villain against Batman. In this TV show it shows the humble beginnings of every character we know that has faced Batman. Gotham begins with Bruce Wayne’s parents being murdered in an alley and introduces Detective James Gordon and Harvey Bullock who take the case. Throughout the season you see Bruce Wayne’s eagerness to find his parents' killer, Jim Gordon’s anger for the corrupt GCPD while hoping that it will change one day, and the vicious life of three gangsters that start a mob war because of an umbrella boy named Oswald Cobblepot, The Penguin. I had an amazing time watching the first season of Gotham because it is intense, dramatic, dark, and interesting. I recommend it for fans of Batman and for fans of DC who want to know how James Gordon became the Commissioner of the GCPD.
