I loved The Great Gatsby a lot. I loved the way F. Scott Fitzgerald described the scenery, and the detail to the color also added another layer of symbolism. The story was very interesting, it followed a rich man named Gatsby as he tries to woo his love, Daisy, away from her husband during the 1920s. Daisy’s cousin is the narrator who watches from afar. This book is honestly a classic and I think I enjoyed the writing style more than the actual book. The way the extravagant parties are described to even the way the curtains fall, everything is written in a way you could visualize it. I enjoyed the book a lot, although the story itself was a little less interesting. I liked how Nick was the narrator, giving the audience another perspective on the odd love triangle. Overall, I give it four stars because I was more interested in the writing than the story itself. It was very telling and interesting, but it wasn't my favorite, I did like the ending a lot though.
