Wyn and Harriet, the perfect couple much deserving of some time together after being long distance for so long, have the opportunity to spend a week at a beautiful Maine cottage as their friends get married. There's just one problem: they broke up months ago, and their friends don't know. In order to keep the cottage as a "happy place" for just one more week, they decide to fake being together rather than ruin the group's time together. But it soon becomes clearer and clearer that the relationship is not quite as over as it seems, and the chemistry between the two has only strengthened, despite their catastrophic break nine months ago.
While this was not my favorite Emily Henry book, I appreciated that the story was more realistic than others and explored how relationships are broken and fixed again, as well as those which never break or are never fixed. However, I thought that Harriet as a character was a little bit flat, and I didn't find myself really liking her that much or feeling as if she was that tangible. I would give this book three out of five stars.
