In Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry starts off by living with his aunt and uncle

for 12 years. Then, he gets a mysterious letter from Hogwarts, inviting him to study at the

School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He goes there, and faces many obstacles along the way that

you will read about. When he gets there, everyone knows him! He was famous for a reason that

you will learn about later in the book. As the year progresses at Hogwarts, he learns about a

very powerful stone that can turn anything into gold, and even make you live longer! Harry then

has to go on various adventures to find where the stone is kept in Hogwarts. When he and his 2

friends, Ron and Hermione, eventually find the stone, Harry gets locked into a room with one of

his professors. His professor then insists that Harry should die and that he should keep the

stone for himself. You’ll have to keep reading to find out, but Harry’s professor is not who you

think it is...

In my opinion, this book is one of the best books in the series! I love the way that J.K.

Rowling has written it, and it kept me on the edge of my chair the entire time! I love the whole

plot and everything about it! Personally, my favorite part of the book is when Harry goes into

Diagon-Alley (get it?) and picks out his very first wand that he will have with him for the rest of

the series. The entire series itself is one of my favorite series in the whole world! I would

definitely recommend it and give it 5 stars!
