The Housemaid by Freida McFadden is a fiction book that has many twists and turns to keep readers interested. The book follows the story of Millie Calloway, a poor, recently unemployed woman, living out of her car. When Millie gets the opportunity to work as a live-in housemaid for the Winchesters’, she is quick to accept however, she doesn’t realize what she is getting into. Millie works hard every day until the house is spotless but somehow when she wakes the next day, the house seems as if she never cleaned it at all. All the mess is at the fault of Nina Winchester whom Millie begins to hate but, she doesn’t see what is actually going on behind closed doors.
This book is a quick read with many plot twists and a thrilling storyline. I would rate this book a 5 out of 5! I rate this book highly because it has an unsettling storyline that always kept me guessing. If you like thrillers you would definitely enjoy this book.
