Ignite Me is pure perfection. The characters, connections, plot, and everything

is beautifully written. Out of all the books in the Shatter Me series, this one is

probably my favorite. A lot of things change throughout this book, so it really

stands out from the others.

"Words, I think, are such unpredictable creatures.

No gun, no sword, no army or king will ever be more powerful than a

sentence. Swords may cut and kill, but words will stab and stay, burying

themselves in our bones to become corpses we carry into the future, all

the time digging and failing to rip their skeletons from our flesh."

— Tahereh Mafi (Ignite Me (Shatter Me, #3))

Ignite Me is written from the perspective of Juliette Ferrars. She has so much

character development, going from meek and quiet to becoming a fierce

leader. I love how even when she’s been through so much throughout her

life, she still has hope for the world. She was abused and tortured growing

up, and she still manages to see the good in people.

In Ignite Me Juliette has just lost everything at the beginning of the book.

When Anderson bombed Omega Point, she lost all her friends. She wakes up

to find that Warner had healed her from when she was shot in the chest. The

world thinks she’s dead, and Warner is trying to keep the fact that is still

living a secret from his father, who’s the one who shot her in the first place.

But just a little bit into the story, Juliette finds that her situation might not be

as hopeless as she had thought. When she goes to the remains of Omega

Point, she finds that there actually were a few survivors, though a very small

portion of the many who had been living there.

Juliette is done trying to hide and escape. She’s ready to fight, and will do

whatever it takes to take down The Reestablishment. Even if that means

forming an unlikely alliance with Warner. With her friends and Warner, they

might actually have a chance. But at what risk?

"I like the way I feel about myself when I'm with him." I say quietly.

"Warner thinks I'm strong and smart and capable and he actually values

my opinion. He makes me feel like his equal--like I can accomplish just as

much as he can, and more. And if I do something incredible, he's not even

surprised. He expects it. He doesn't treat me like I'm some fragile little girl

who needs to be protected all the time."

— Tahereh Mafi (Ignite Me (Shatter Me, #3))

Overall, this book is one of my favorites ever written. It’s just what the

readers were looking for at the end of the second book, when we were left

on a cliffhanger. Ignite Me helps set the stage for the books that follow, and

is an overall amazing book! I definitely recommend it!
