Insurgent is an exciting and active action thriller by Veronica Roth. This book is about a sixteen year old girl named Tris, and her boyfriend Tobias, who escape the city and go to Amity lands (one of the factions, they value peace). They then escape those lands and return to the city and take cover in the Merciless Mart (the candor building, they value honesty), they kill their dauntless traitor leader and return to the Dauntless compounds. They move again to the Abnegation sector and plot to kill Jenine Mathews (the ruthless erudite tyrant) and claim the city for the factionless. Tris betrays Tobias by working with his father to save a file that explains why they are in an isolated city away from everything else. I love the way the author balances love with actions and passion, the way Tris and Tobias have to sort out their priorities between each other and their duty to the city. I recommend this book to anyone wanting love and action combined in a book. That is why I rate Insurgent a 5/5.
