King of Greed by Ana Huang is a second-chance romance that follows Alessandra Davenport and her husband whom she divorces early on in the novel, Dominic Davenport. Dominic is a powerful businessman and has all the money and materialistic items in the world. However, in his quest for more, Alessandra ends up feeling unprioritized and even unloved. When she finally deals him the papers and leaves to find herself again, Dominic realizes just how much he messed up.
I give this book three stars because while I loved how much Dominic loved Alessandra, I’m not a big fan of the second-chance trope. I personally feel that if a couple breaks up, they broke up for a good reason most of the time. That being said, I do feel that the redemption arc of Dominic was written quite well and I found myself enjoying this book even though I wasn’t sure if I would be able to. This book is good for anyone who likes second-chance contemporary romance.
