King of Sloth is a forced-proximity romance that follows Xavier Castillo, a billionaire-heir, and Sloane Kensington, his publicist. Xavier and Sloane have a relationship of constant bantering and picking fun at one another. Sloane is very annoyed by Xavier all the time. However, the two also find themselves drawn to one another, even though Sloane’s whole thing is being cold-hearted and not being vulnerable because she is scared of getting hurt. The romance eventually blooms as they are forced even closer together through tragic events, and it is very heartwarming.

I give this book four stars because I really enjoyed it, especially how much Xavier was obsessed with Sloane. I personally really love books where the man’s thoughts are consumed by the female protagonist. I could really relate to Sloane so it was a fun story to read and imagine myself in her shoes. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a reminder that it’s okay to be vulnerable (just kidding, but I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who loves forced-proximity romance!).
