Kingdom of the Cursed is the second installment in the Kingdom of the Wicked series by Kerri Maniscalco. In this book, Emilia di Carlo has found herself in Hell, preparing to wed the devil himself. She also has a secret plan to continue investigating her sister’s murder. She must learn to master the courts of the Wicked, which are filled with treachery, secrets, lies, and much more. As information is revealed to Emilia throughout the novel, she must make decisions that will change the course of her path for good. I give this book five stars because not only do I love this series, I particularly love Emilia’s character development in this. Wrath is a big part of this novel as well, but you really get to know Emilia super deeply and connect with her. Emilia’s growing power is one of my favorite parts of this book, and it’s very inspiring how her character just keeps going no matter what comes her way. Finally, it is not hard at all to fall in love with Wrath and having him as a love interest is a definite plus.
