King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard is fantasy fiction and the third book in the series. Mare Borrow
is stuck. After turning herself in, she’s powerless in a prison cell, at the hands of the boy she
once trusted- Maven Calore. Luckily, as Mare is stuck in her cell, the Red Guard hasn’t given
up. And neither has Cal. There is war on the horizon, but is anyone truly prepared? This book
was okay. It was an improvement from the previous book in the series. I enjoyed the drama in
this book. But there were parts I absolutely hated. Saome parts were very dragged on and it was
hard to get through without getting bored. I found myself annoyed with Mare a lot. Overall, it was
fine but I would give it a 2/5.
