The Lake by Natasha Preston is about Esme and Kayla, two girls that
come back to summer camp with a dark secret. When the girls pretend
everything is just as it always is, a message appears. A message that
might potentially be a threat to Esme and Kayla, but one thing is for sure.
They know their secret. And they want them to come clean about it, also to
face the consequences of their actions.
This was kind of a horrific book, Preston had definitely made better ones
and I just think it could have been written better. The idea of it was not bad,
just to make the characters stronger and the plot to be better written. 2.5/5
