I highly enjoyed reading this book. It was a good Saturday afternoon read, and I finished it fairly quickly. The story was mesmerizing, and the characters had depth. It was fantastical, with wicked world-building and solid backstory, as well as a major problem to be solved. There were other smaller plot points that added to the overall effect of the book, which was nice to read. Definitely in my top reads of the year. This book rated a five out of five for me, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed The Prison Healer. I look forward to the next installment of the series.
