The Lightning Thief is a must-read. It is full of adventure, suspense, and excitement. The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan is a fantasy book about a teenage boy named Percy Jackson. After Percy Jackson gets thrown out of boarding school for the 6th time, he is sent to Camp Half-Blood where he finds out that he is a demigod. Lately, he has been seeing monsters and other mythical creatures in his life. When Percy’s mom learns about this, she knows that it is time for Percy to learn the truth. At camp, Percy and two of his friends are assigned the task of traveling across America to the gate of the underworld and returning Zeus’s master lightning bolt. Percy and his friends have only ten days to complete the task. If they fail, war will take place between the gods. Along the way, they meet up with several monsters and unknown obstacles that they must tackle. Will Percy and his friends be able to conquer the task or will they fail and let a war happen between the gods? I identify most with Annabeth because she is clever and courageous. She is also organized and likes to plan beforehand. I am organized and smart most of the time. Annabeth also has a fear of spiders. I have a fear of spiders as well
