The novel, Lord of the Flies by William Golding explores the concept of human nature and leadership. Taking place in 1950, This book is about a group of boys who get stranded on an island without any adults due to a plane crash. Without any adults to take charge they are all alone and must find a way to survive on an uninhabited island. With a low chance of getting rescued the boys must fend for themselves and someone must take lead and become a leader, but questions are still left. Who will lead? Will they get rescued? Does the entire group survive?
I loved the way the author wrote this book because it explores the deep concepts of human nature, and it makes you ask questions about society today. I also love how the novel has a deeper meaning to it and the writing style is very captivating. I would recommend this book to people that like to read survival stories.
