Life after the Titan War has been peaceful so far until Percy Jackson suddenly goes missing from Camp Half Blood. Around the same time Percy disappears, three new demigods are found at the Grand Canyon and brought to Camp Half Blood. These three new demigods must work together to rescue Hera and find out where Percy is. Jason Grace has no memory of anything before the Grand Canyon. Piper McLean has a unique ability and has to save her father. Leo Valdez is a funny, hyper mechanic who has a dark past. How will these three new demigods complete the quest to save Hera and find out where Percy is?

The Heroes of Olympus book series follow the Percy Jackson series, so I would recommend reading the Percy Jackson series first before reading The Lost Hero. I liked how Rick Riordan wrote the book in a 3rd person omniscient point of view since I could know what the characters felt while reading the book. I didn’t like The Lost Hero that much because Percy was mentioned only a couple of times during the whole book, and I felt disappointed at the end of the book because of this. I also felt that some of the other characters deserved much more point of views during the book. Overall, I thought that the book could've been much better.
