Hermia, the daughter of a noble Athenian man, planning to elope away with the Athenian boy she loves– Lysander. A group of low-class workers wanting to conduct a play for the duke and duchess. A wedding for the duke and duchess that is about to happen in four days. And a green world full of parallels. What could ever happen in only four days?
The poetic comedy was full of hilarious twists and turns that brought the story to life. Its chaotic and craziness made the tale engaging and interesting to me as the reader leaving me without any boredom. Along with the story’s engaging plot, the way it is written in Early Modern English made the narrative ten times better. However, I would rate this a 4 out of 5 since the tropes were predictable.
