Minions is an okay movie with lots of fun moments. The movie introduces and shows how minions have existed since the beginning of time and have evolved from single celled organisms with one goal, a goal to serve the most evil masters but often they result in their masters death. In this movie, we see the minions look for a new master, a master who would fulfill their requirements. This was the main goal of the movie and once it is achieved we see a simple story take place.
Overall, it was decent, but lacked any depth. The whole movie is meant to be comic. The various scenes were what made this movie interesting and fun to watch. The animation was up to the standards of the Despicable me series and was colorful, matching the same style. This movie is meant to provide fans of the minions more background as to how the minions ended up with Gru. The whole movie is filled with moments put together by a simple story that does a decent job of keeping the viewers' attention. I give this movie a 3.3 out of 5 and recommend it to anyone who loves minions.
